Hey everyone, I accidentally bought a 142" 3/4" resaw blade from highland woodworking only to realize it was the wrong size for my saw while attempting to install it (my saw requires 143"). I don't think I can return it now that I've discarded the packaging so if anyone would have any use for this please let me know! Only asking for shipping costs to you!

That blade should work. You should have well more than 1/4" of play , OR your blades are being ordered on the short side of your play length in the first place Or is that 142 x 3/4 instead of 142-3/4"

Are u getting the full drop on the top wheel when u loosen it , mine (diff saw) sticks some times and i have to tap it with rubber hammer to get it to go down all the way .. Just a thunk ?

Not stuck, unfortunately

I own the same Taiwanese-made saw, sold under the Australian Carbatec brand. You should be able to shorten the blade length requirement by turning the tension adjustment wheel. If that doesn’t give you enough, try measuring the blade to confirm the length they claim is incorrect.

I've just measured the blade and it is in fact 142".

The tension wheel is as loose as it will go (with the quick tension lever set to loose) and it will not fit. Strange

So yours is not 142.75” but rather 142.0” . The saw is designed for 143”. I think you’ll have to eat it and reorder the correct length.

I did, that's why I'm offering this blade to anyone who could get some use out of it

also the 3/4" was in reference to the width of the blade

If you don't find a new home for the saw, You should be able to load that saw onto your wheels. Maybe by not the detention wheel as you have most likely tried, but you can use your tracking adjustment and tilt the top wheel out and down, like your adjusting the tracking out and that should give you the little bit you need to get the saw on the wheels.
We have done this when loading 22' 6" saws made for the 42" New London Machine on to our 42" Industrial saw machines that use a 22' 8" saw.
