Just wondering if anyone has changed the battery on the older Adam 130153 digital regulator on these guns? I went to spray today and the battery is dead. It only lasted 15 years, ha! There are videos for the Adam 2 gauge which is different than this older style. There are 4 torx bolts on the back of the gauge which appears to be the only way to take it apart. Of course it says to not open or the warranty is void. The warranty is long past and Sata is closed for the weekend so no help there. Anyone with experience on this one? Thanks

well that thingy seems to be way past tense on production and "appears" to have been replaced with a model # in the $500 price range.

that being theorized, even if another member has knowledge on method of replacement I'd bet they have no memory of what battery to be replaced.

so...I'd suggest being patient and waiting to talk to SATA so at least you might get the proper battery info. I mean seriously, at the cost to replace you really aren't wasting time trying to keep yours operational for another 15 years!

Ha! Yeah, that's the plan right now Mike. There's good videos on the Adam2 one but nothing for the Adam original. Not even a parts diagram. I could spray without it but it sure does make it easier to dial in pressures I've historically used. It's more than likely a CR 2032 battery but I won't know until I take it apart properly.

Just in case it matters to anyone. The original Adam requlator has the battery soldered to the LCD display and had to be replaced as a unit. Of course there are no longer parts for it and the battery LCD issue on the originals were the reason they went to the Adam2 requlator. SATA has offered to install the Adam2 on my gun for $200 CDN which is less than half the price of full retail. I'm back in business!
