Just finished this. Firsts for me are Cedar top, arm bevel and cutaway. Overall quite pleased. Apologies for the massive pictures! Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong?

You just have to scale your picture size down.

Absolutely no idea why the pics are so big!

Maybe the resolution is too high?

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Thanks everyone, I thought I had scaled down the pictures and reduced them down to less than 250k, otherwise the won't upload at all!

Very nice Mikey and I love the cut-a-way.

For pics resize to around 800 for the longer side and a file size of no more than around 200K. The OLF requires us to resize and reduce our pics and always has.

The limit used to be 200K but I believe that's been increased these days but I don't know to what.

Thanks Hesh, the limit appears to be 250K now, and I got these down to around 220K. I'll try resizing the long side as you say and fingers crossed. Mike

That's great looking guitar and I'm impressed at how you pulled of a number of what I would consider to be advanced features really well on just your first guitar. Well done. What is the back and sides wood?

Sorry Jay, to be clear it's not my first guitar but the first time I've used a cedar top, built a cutaway and arm bevel. The back and sides wood are Pomelle Sapele.
Thanks Mike.

Looks great Michael. I've only done one arm bevel using Tony Karol's tutorial. Many ways to do it but his worked well for me.

If you have a smartphone the Tapatalk app is a breeze to upload pictures from your phone. It does all the resizing for you
