I'm replacing my old 3/4" Timber Wolf resaw blade and the instructions say to lubricate the blade with some Pam sprayed on a cloth. I'm wondering if there would be any glue and /or finish problems later on. Any experiences?
Any thoughts?

No real world experiences with it, but one ingredient would give me pause... to use it in the kitchen!

"Dimethyl silicone is an anti-foaming agent. It is also used as a textile finishing agent, paint additive, and an ingredient in cosmetics. The health implications of ingesting dimethyl silicone have not been extensively researched and therefore are not well understood."

The other ingredients seem to be mostly vegetable oils. The small amount of residue left on the blade I don't think would contaminate the wood enough to affect the finishing after it has been milled or sanded to thickness.

I would not be using lube on my bandsaw. Just not needed.

I have used a lubricant stick on jewelers saw blades in the past for cutting pearl. I don't use it any more. Maybe it kept the blade from dulling as quickly, but I don't know that for sure. A sharp unlubed blade cut a lot better than a lubed not as sharp blade.

I would think that on a bandsaw, after a few seconds of resawing the lubricant would be pretty much gone anyway.

I have a Laguna 14" SUV with a 1" Laguna re-saw blade that I use for re-sawing. What I do is when I see that there is pitch on the blade I clean it with lacquer thinner and then rub a very thin application of Johnson Paste Wax on. The container I have of Past wax is pretty old and it doesn't contain silicone. After I rub it down with wax I go back and make sure most of it is off the blade. I do the same to my table saw and hand planes when they start to drag.

I have been using Johnson Paste Wax for many years on my tools and have never had any issues with contaminating wood.

I learned this from an "old timer" many years ago.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the suggestions. I think I will try it with no lube at first. When it feels like it is starting to drag I will try the lacquer thinner and paste wax.

As far as cleaning the pitch off, water was the fastest and easiest solvent I tried.
I tried spraying Pam on the blade, but I did not notice anything special.
