This is a commission I just finished. I don’t usually do guitars with this much electronics, but it all worked out. It was a lot of fun fishing the wiring into the inside of the guitar.
Sitka Spruce top
Quilted maple back and sides.
Curly maple neck with Gibson style truss rod.
Gaboon Ebony, fretboard, head, veneers, Tailpiece and pickguard.
Nitro finish
Kent. Armstrong pickups.
Gotoh 510 tuners with custom-made Ebony knobs by Bill Wise
25 1/4”scale.
1-3/4”nut width.
3 inch depth .

Yes, Kent is a great guy!
it’s always amazed me how I can call him up and he actually makes a pick up and it’s at my doorstep two days later!

This gentleman brought a handmade Archtop guitar to an associate of mine that needed some binding repair. The guitar was about 15 years old and was kind of roughly made.
He never really liked the guitar. So he sent him over to me and before I knew it he commissioned this guitar, literally an hour after he came over.
Before that day he had never heard of me.
He is a very successful businessman of some kind, but he can really play. He said he was at Professional Musician at one time in his life.

I hope he enjoys that gorgeous guitar, Brad. Well done. You've set the bar pretty high.

A second on Kent's approachability. I have had the same experience.

Beautiful guitar Brad!
