This is a longshot but I know Haans sold all his wood and materials a while back I had some checkered purfling and Stahl style purfling that I bought from him.
I’m looking for some more of it.
I tried the usual sources… I’m pretty sure Gurian made the outside checkered piece for him but I talked to them and they’re not interested in doing it– They are too busy.

LMII sells some purfling very similar to what you have pictured.

I’m familiar with all of LMI’s purfling and it’s not close enough….
The one they have is a Stella style (which I also use),this one is Stahl style.

I always admired Haans' purfling choices - he made some really beautiful guitars !!! Good luck sourcing the purfling you need -- although, I'm inclined to think you may have to make it yourself - especially, if Gurian is unwilling.

Yes, it may come down to that.
I have a call into a company named Karin-Rost in Germany and will have to see if that pans out.

Be careful there. I got some purfling from them and it was put together with rubber cement.

I have gotten purfling in the recent past from them and it was fine.

Maybe my experience was an aberration. This was about 10 years ago. With shipping costs it was an expensive and disappointing purchase that I won't repeat.
