Someone gave me an old airbrush compressor with a very large motor. I'm considering turning it into a vacuum pump someday. Where is a good place to get the clamps?

I can't speak from experience, but I noticed the LMI sells a kit to convert a compressor line to a vacuum. Again, I'm completely out of my lane, but just in case you didn't see it...

Those little venturi devices tend to run your compressor a lot.

My first pump was a venturi--it took a good sized compressor to feed it, but it worked great. When I moved my shop, there was no room for a big compressor, so I replaced the venturi with a smaller electric vacuum pump. Veneersupplies.com is a good place to find plans, parts, etc. for vacuum clamping/vacuum bagging.

And another Moxon. 12' cork lined radius faces. Mounted on an 8/4 base that I can move around to any other vice. Uses the new style of Irwin clamps that just slip on the pipe without needing to be threaded on. About $35.00 worth of materials.
