Hi team,
A friend has a Les Paul with a rattling / vibrating truss rod. I’ve done some quick research and have heard a few mentions of Chair-Loc / Swell Lock which is a solution that makes wood permanently swell. It’s designed to tighten loose fitting wooden chair leg joints, but apparently works well when injected into a truss rod cavity as it makes the wood swell and clamp down on the truss rod a bit.
Just wondered if anyone here had experience of this? I don’t really want to go removing inlays and drilling holes in the board if I don’t have to. Tightening the rod does not resolve the issue unfortunately.
Thanks in advance.
