I recently purchased 3 Fastcap vacuum remotes which are excellent! So far they have performed flawlessly. The previous version was pretty terrible! I’d have to press the button several times to get them to function. [:Y:]

On another note: Woodcraft’s service is terrible! I ordered the 3 Units about 5 weeks ago. It took about 10 days to receive the first one. Contacted them, so sorry, they’d send out 2 more. 10 days later another one arrives... Contacted them again, no sorry, we will send one out UPS.......they sent it to the wrong address. [headinwall]

Don’t even try to blame this on COVID... gaah

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.
