How do you guys that know do this with the sound hole?

I'm talking about the rosewood or darker wood around the hole

What I have done, someone mentioned it here first, is inlay a larger ring before cutting the soundhole.

The top has to be thick enough that you can inlay the hardwood ring a few thousandths thicker than your soundboard will be when you thin it down.

So for example, the top is .125 and you inlay a ring that is .115 and then cut your soundhole.
Then take the top down to .110. It looks like the hole was bound but it wasn’t.

Now, what you end up with is that the edge of the sound hole is now endgrain, which some may not like. I even heard someone say the endgrain can affect tone (might be a stretch :)).
