One of the things I do when I build is to fabricate a custom truss rod washer made from .090” annealed 440-C steel.

It really helps spread the pressure and keep the wood from crushing when you tighten the truss rod.

That looks like a nice thick one that won't bend under pressure as a few I have seen have done. [:Y:] One of those extra things that will go unnoticed by most people.
