As for images it's best to have a hosting site. Imgur.com is free and works really well. Then if you use the full editor to make a post here there is a little icon that says IMG, if you click that then it will create the necessary BB-Code tags to wrap around the URL of your image. IF you do end up using Imgur then they even have copy paste BB-Code for you.

As an example if you open up my post to quote it you will see what the image below looks like:

Welcome Ryan, come on in, the waters fine.
Lots of talent here and all willing to share.
Please note: Lutherie is very addicting, there's no way to build just one.

If your photos are over 100k (I think) they won't upload.

I think the number is 256k. I put my photos in preview, (on a Mac) and adjust the size in tools until it gets under 250. Most start out well over a million. Sometimes they come out tiny, sometimes huge. Still under 250k. I have NO IDEA why.

Oh, and welcome.

+1 for welcome and for using a hosting site. If you use tapatalk from your mobile device you can post pics pretty easily as well. Tapatalk basically just uploads them to their hosting location and puts a link in the post.
