is there many UK sellers or overseas sellers who would ship to UK?

FWIW I haven't seen anyone from the U.K. advertising on them.

Personally I probably wouldn't ship to the U.K. because I'm lazy and there would be added paperwork & time, but that's just me not to mention the price would probably be pretty high but maybe you're used to that.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.
