This is the third guitar that I finished. A gentleman I know purchased it as an anniversary gift for his wife. I inlayed her name on the 12th fret.

The details are as follows:

Model- OM
Back & Sides - Black Limba
Soundboard - Engelmann Spruce
Neck - Genuine Mahogany
Bracing Material - Adirondack Spruce
Binding - Black Walnut
Fingerboard & Bridge - Katalox
Pickguard - Black Walnut
Head plate Veneers - Black Walnut
Nut & Saddle - Bone
Finish - EM6000 Water Based Lacquer

I really like this guitar. It sounds so wonderful. Very loud and clear and has lots of warmth. Was kind of hard to let it go, but the payment was nice.

I like the way that all came together. The back is lovely!

That's a good looking guitar. The walnut pickguard to go with the walnut headstock veneers and binding is a nice touch. That's some nice curl in the back plates.

Excellent, good looking work.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Thanks guys!

The Black Limba was from one of the sponsors, Aaron Hix, and was a great transaction as usual.

I would love to know how many hours I have spent surveying his eBay store..
