I have a very old Performax built before Jet took over. Recently the belt broke and when I went to buy a new one from Jet I was told the new belts that push the wood through to the sanding roller will not fit the old Performax. Does anyone know where I can get the correct conveyor belt for my machine? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Chuck

I recommend contacting Supermax. They are the folks who used to be Performax before that name was sold to Jet. They might have some old parts, or maybe something they make today would work. They had parts for my old Shop Pro 25 that I bought a few years ago and fixed up. Nice folks, too.

I use an Accura. Pricey, but not as pricey as the rubber conveyor by Performax (which I have sitting on the side).

Been meaning to order another one because i've eaten through the sides (plan on modifying the drum to address this), but its still hanging in there. Again, I have a sandpaper belt and the OEM rubber belt on the side should it completely fail.

The belt on my Performax 16-32 is pretty frayed and I've been thinking of ordering one of these: https://2sand.com/feed-belt-performax-16-32-drum-sander

There's also this source: https://www.highlandwoodworking.com/drum-sander-conveyor-belt.aspx

I've got the 2sand belt. Works fine, but the Highland is cheaper.

Cheaper than here? Fine people to deal with as well.

I was in error. The Highland is about $40. The 2sand about $28. Supergrit ..$30.

What a surprise! Our 16/32 Jet drive belt broke today in the middle of a sanding pass...How annoying! It turns out there are two sizes of Jet 16/32 drive belts and of the three vendors suggested Highland was the only one listing the right size for us (16 by 43.5). I've been dealing with Supergrit for many years and like and trust them but didn't feel like contacting them to see if they had the longer belt (I also like Highland so no big deal). Hopefully the new drive belt will not take long to ship since the thickness sander is pretty much essential at this stage of our process.
