Oops sorry for the double post. Does any one have the dimensions for a stock P bass neck with a 34" scale? I need to order up neck stock and want to be sure that 4" x 30" x 7/8 will work.

I don't have a template but I know that the neck is longer than 30".
Need at least 33". That leaves only about 1/8" extra. (estimate- I don't know exact)
Even without a template I'd want my stock to be at least 4" x 3/4" x 48". (ears for the head if needed and I think they will be)
You'd be better off IMO getting a template before ordering your stock. You may decide 4.5" x 3/4" x 34" is what you want.
Hope this helps David.

I built a Ric bass with a 33.25 scale. From the tip of the head to the bottom of the fretboard, it's a little over 32". I've got a P bass neck drawing (no dimensions on it) but it is to scale. It measures a little over 33" from the head to the end of the fretboard.
