Primarily,

Do these things have a shelf life?

I have two heating blankets that heat up when plugged into the wall, and two timer/temp controls that do not allow juice into the blankets. Both died with similar symptom, notably wild fluctuations in how long it would take to reach temp, and then they just stopped working.

I'm guessing it's the temp controller, not the timer. Is there a replaceable part within that might be burned out?

Anyone else have this problem?

Fix or replace?

check the fuse
what blanket are you using?
These are a VSI switch and if they are out of calibrations that is a simple thing to work.
open the back and with a drill turn the switch control to set up the variable feed. We do check them but they can move.
Once you remove the screws and open the back you will see the adjustment

Thanks John,

The blankets and controls I got from you long time ago. I will check the fuses.

Are you talking about opening the back of the timer, or the back of the temp dial?
