I need some help. I have this Rader acoustic guitar that was handmade which I bought a few years ago. Can anyone help identify who built it and some info about it's provenance.
Thanks

Thiat's a tough one. There isn't a whole lot on the label to use in an internet search. Where did you get it from. It was only made 6 years ago, it coulnd't have changed hands too many times. Did the previous owner tell you anything about it? Have you posted this question on other guitar/guitar making fora? There are plenty out there, maybe someone will recognize the name.

Put an inspection mirror inside the box, and look for any other text - maybe a signature, materials, hopefully a city and state.

Thanks for your response. I got it from a dealer in Alabama who said it was traded in by a professional musician, which makes sense as it is pretty and has excellent action and tone. He did not remember who the guy was, and the store has changed hands since I bought it. I have put the info on Danny Raders facebook page but no luck yet.

I wondered if you thought it was Danny Rader, but the initials on the label don't seem like DR to me. I wonder if he has a family member that builds?

Hmm, If Danny Rader had a family member who makes guitars would he be trading in #8 at a music store? I would think that he would keep it.

It could be a case of another (unrelated) Rader giving an early guitar to a local pro in hopes of getting exposure. Though if that were the case I would have expected more info on the label. . . Who knows.

Thanks for the ideas. I think the initials are TR, but not sure.
otherDoc

Edit: I did the suggested look with a mirror but other than seeing the Fishman stuff inside there are no other markings. Curiouser and curiouser?

I guess I'll give this a bump so it doesn't disappear forever.

I did a google and bing image compare search against the bridge since it is such a unique looking design. I didn't get any matches but I did get to see a TON of unique bridge designs. :)

Also saw your ebay listing. ;)

Well I just found out that the "FBG" on the label does not stand for "Froggy Bottom Guitar". No luck there!
