Looking for unslotted oversized bridge pins (preferably rosewood), dizzy from search the net.
Anyone know a supplier?

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

How big under the collar?

Current plastic (Martin) ones average out at 5.6 mm, plan was to taper (3 deg) the pinhole, slot the bridge, and my trigonometry is useless....
0.235" (5.97 mm) are the oversized, slotted waverleys from SM, so figured that would be about right.

Sorry Colin, I have a bunch of .220" 3 and 5 degree pins but none that big. I went through the same search. I sent a note to Stew mac at the time that un-fluted, over-sized pins were a real need but apparently they still disagree.
A lot of plate wear could be stopped if they were available.

Guess we should have bought Gurian.
