While working on a volunteer project to stabilize an old barn on some property owned by a local conservation group I found a 2 by 16 inch timber in the scrap pile. Here is the barn

and here is the resident great horned owl that nests in it (hard to see, just below the bright spot)

The wood is ponderosa pine, I'd like to think it is a hundred years old. Since there wasn't anything suitable for a neck I cheated and bought a pre made one, but thought I would dedicate it to Mrs. Owl

Finish is nitro after a false start with TruOil. Just your basic reclaimed wood telecaster.
