John, as I said I would...it made it. I've been playing it and it turned out to be a player.
It's very much like the blue one but the pickups make enough difference to keep them both handy.
I liked the Callaham hardware on the LPB one so much I used the same on the Burgundy.

The finish turned out fine for me but I wouldn't be comfortable if was to be sold. My wife says it's because I'm a perfectionist...maybe I agree. I think they should start out perfect...and I haven't made one yet.

Thought I'd post these two pic's. The last three I've built for myself and a little corner of the world I like to hide in.
And I do apologize for my lack of photo skills and hope the pics are enjoyed.

Any curious about specific issues to me I'll try to take photos of. Other than that she's a done deal.

The wheely-dealy truss nut slot is awesome!
A Fender style neck that can be adjusted without removing the neck!

Michael, can you estimate what it costs you to make a set of 3 strat pickups?
I'm into making my own stuff and saving money.

Thanks,
Dan

Dan as I had answered you with "I'd never kept track" and took a guess at how many coils per lb of wire so I thought I'd try to get a better answer for you...maybe this helps.

With 42 AWG PE wire;

a) 1,652 Ω per 1,000 ft. of wire
b) 0.0195 lbs per 1,000 ft. of wire
6,000 Ω pickup;
3,631.96 ft. of wire
6,000 Ω ÷ 1,652 = 3,631.96 ft. of wire
3,631.96 x ( 0.0195/1000) = 0.07082 lbs. per coil
1 lb of wire ÷ .07082 lbs. = 14.1203

@ 14 single coil 6,000 Ω Strat style pickups.
1 lb. of 42 AWG PE wire - $27.00 (what I paid) ÷ 14 = $1.93 per coil.

Other factors/variables to consider but I had time and wanted to see how close my guess was and give you a better answer.

My math isn't great...if I blew it please correct as needed.
