Hi,

This has been a project long in the making. I promised a guitar to my brother for a Christmas present about 3 years ago, I had the wood but not all the tools and materials I needed to get it going. So, once I did, I dug in and documented the whole thing on my YouTube channel so he could watch from his home in Atlanta. I live up near Buffalo. Anyway, the guitar is done, currently not finished. I am in the stages of doing a french polish finish on it using U-Beaut shellac, based on Steve from VA's method. He has been over the top helpful on this and I appreciate all his help, input and patience with me.

Here's the link to the first video, but let me warn you, it's not Breaking Bad but probably would run about the same amount of seasons if televised.

Thanks Dan, yes he has really enjoyed it and he can't wait to get his hands on it. I have it almost finished, about 30 sessions French Polish on the back and sides, but none on the top due to a problem with the rosette that I ran into. I had resanded the top and got too thin at one of the purfling lines around the rosette, so now I am waiting for a circle cutter and will try to re-route the bad purfling out and replace it. Will be tricky.
