I like it, too. In no way is it run-of-the-mill. Lots of things about it are somewhat unusual to my eye, and nicely executed.
I especially like the rosette and binding scheme. Those tuner plates look very vintage to me. Are they? I'm not familiar with the range of tuners available for ukes or tenor guitars. Nice instrument!

Thanks for the nice comments. Tuners I think were from taisamlu on ebay. I got them a few years ago though. Purfling is from karin rost which is a great resource.
