I've updated a pickup pocket and need to either re-post all versions of the body affected by this revision - 9 in total or just replace the code specific to the pocket.

What's the process of manually replaceing the code within a part file? If I just post the new pickup pocket and copy that over, the block numbers will be out which is my first red flag that I don't know what I'm doing.

Since you sound like you are not very comfortable with g-code, just re-post the 9 jobs. I have this problem all the time and have just resigned to the fact that re-posting is a fact of life in our business. So many small changes constantly happeneing and so many versions of so many guitars that it's just safer in our case to re-post than to splice multiple times then verify each one.

That being said, you should be able to change posting settings to post without line numbers for future jobs. I personally dont like them in my g-code and our controller doesnt need them (fanuc).

I erase line numbers in all my code, and most controls completely ignore them. I'm comfy with my G-code, but I'd probably repost anyway to eliminate human error.

i'd repost, (backplot/verify too) as well. it's a computer -it shouldn't take very long. go grab a sandwich.

fwiw, i tend to post line numbers. makes searching, dialing in cutter comp, and program restarts easier. on very old machines we'd delete line numbers just to fit code into the controls (with their awesome 8k of ram) just so we wouldn't have to dnc anything. luckily things have changed. now you can go bluetooth! thank god for technology.
