After building several steel string acoustics I decided to build an electric. This is my first. It has a two-piece alder body, maple top, maple neck, and ebony fingerboard. ...and Evo fret wire. The top came from Oregon Wild Wood. The other parts came from various vendors. The finish is EM6000. I used transtint blue at 50 drops/ounce and added 10 drops of black to give it a darker shade. It's not easy to tell in these photos but the grain is easily visible under the transtint. I installed Dimarzio Classic Air humbuckers with push-pull pots to switch each pickup from series to parallel. I like the tone very much. It's good to back off on the tone control a little to tame some of the treble. Thanks for looking.

Thanks guys! ..and thanks for indulging me... I'm very proud of it. I think having made several acoustics helped in making this one, especially the binding work. It did require more router action and the process is quite different from the acoustic building process. This was my first use of Transtint and it wasn't that difficult...

Thanks so much for the nice comments. On the telecaster forum I found out how to do the headstock logo. I encourage you to do a search in that forum. Here's how it's done...
Get some transparent decal "paper". There are a number of brands that probably all work. I did a search on amazon and ordered it. There were comments that others had used the material for headstock logos... To get the silver in the letters like fender does you have to paint it on using testers model paint and an extremely small and thin paint brush...but here's the thing... You have to reverse the letters before you print it on the decal paper. That way, you can paint inside the letters and keep the silver within the lines. There is no way you can do this unless you paint it on the reverse side. Then, you closely cut the letters out, put the decal into a bowl of warm water And gently slide the decal off the backing and on to the headstock. Then gently dab the decal with a tissue to remove water. The telecaster forum person suggested to dab the decal with white vinegar, so I did, but I don't know if it did anything... The next day I started burying the logo in finish... It's a lot of work but it does look nice...

I've seen some of the decal material I believe at a Hobby Lobby or Michaels.
I may give that a try. Never thought to paint the back side, but it makes sense.
