Ok stop it now Jimmy!!! , your making the rest of us look like chumps..

That is some gorgeous woodworking there...

Maybe you should consider adding a plexi back so people can see the inside

Jimmy have you got a link to info on this system or a publication you could steer me toward. A lot of though has gone into this system. It seem to be design to allow the energy to be spread more radially from the bridge plate. Curved tone bar? Too many questions to ask in one life time just steer me toward litature MichaelP38398.7248842593

Michael, this system is based on Steve Klein's design. Steve's design is based on the acoustical theories of Dr. Michael Kasha. The theory is rather obtuse and strictly speaking was developed for classical guitars, not steel string. Klein met Dr. Kasha as a young man and took his theory and applied it to the steel string. What's most fascinating about Klein is that he changed everything all at once. He was one of the very first to incorporate a removable neck and his neck block design, flying braces, and pinless bridge designs are still thought of as "new school" even though they are 30 years old.

I first learned about Klein in 1977, when I first joined GAL. I have some old GAL quarterlys with some info. and there is some information on his website www.kleinguitars.com . You can also go to the GAL website and do a database search on him. They have reprints available for some back issues. I met him at the last Healdsburg Show and he was very approachable, though he's not responsive to emails. I've tried.

Having said all that, the best way to learn is to dive and build one. I have really enjoyed building the ones I've done. It's been quite an experience and I've got a woodpile of mistakes to prove it. I'd be glad to talk with you offline if you'd like. Hope this helps.
