My guitar instructor made a recording of one of his compositions using my new guitar - not really my style of music and I think, judging by his voice at the end, that he must have added some reverb or other effect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uf_t4uk1vs&feature=player_embedded

The guitar sounds much different in my hands.

He's amazed that I built a guitar, and I'm amazed at how well other people can play the guitar.
