At least as a means of achieving consistency, counters are the most consistent approach for consistency. When using all of the CNC functions this design will be capable of, exactly copies of a single design will be possible, and DC resistance will be useless.

For that matter, I would much rather see DC resistance disappear as a commonly reported pickup characteristic. Resonant frequency, and Q are what really matter. L, C, and Z would be an improvement. But setting up tools for a good consistent measurement system is another project that I will personally need very soon.

Search old posts for a link I posted from UIUC physic dept related to pickup measurements. It should put you on the same page with me.
