Id love to check out the build doc - but the page link you posted doesnt seem to work for me

Charlie, that link was to the old MIMF, which is now defunct (it was a pain to link to anything there, anyways), and I don't think that build thread made it over to the new forum. Luckily, I also posted it on "Gretsch-talk", check it out. Those Gretsch folks can get pretty enthusiastic about their favourite subject... 16 000 or so views and counting, wohoo!

I would too but I have the same problem....probably because it's a two year old thread. Nevermind...typing while the
previous post was made.

Thank you Arnt. Amazing. Beautiful guitar.

Amazing Ken!
I downloaded your PDF's about a year ago - still ahead of my skill set, but maybe one day I'll get there.
Thanks for posting pics!

Thank Dan, Gil Yaron and I did a build thread on TDPRI a while back. It is pretty detailed if you are interested.

Hi Ken,

Amazing to find this thread...I'm a lover of the 335/330 style guitars so would be really intested in anything more you have on the build process. Those guitars, and Arnt's, look wonderful.

In a way I'd like either a long-neck 330 but with the wider/slimmer '64 style neck, or a 335 with maybe a bit more acoustic sound...I was wondering about not having the block go any further than the pickups to leave the bridge able to move the top behind a bit. I've got two trial bodies on the go more like the Collings idea but 14" lower bouts, which will be hollowed-out mahogany backs with carved tops.

Cheers,
Alan

Ken I sure enjoyed seeing your craftsmanship.
Thank you.

The sunburst sure brought back some great memories
of a 347 I had.

Hope someday I can build one that sweet....you're an inspiration.

That should be a fun project Arnt. Email me if you would like my .pdf tutorial on how to build a thinline guitar, not that you need it... or anyone else for that matter.

A few more random shots. One showing how I cut the binding ledge.

Thanks Ken and James.

This guitar turned out pretty good. A cross between an ES 335 and a Les Paul. Image
