Hey all,
Here’s a 12 string electric I built a couple months ago. The materials are somewhat un-traditional. The body is Douglas fir, and the top is Osage Orange. I used them because they're cheap, locally available, and required no pore filling. bliss Neck is mahogany, and the fretboard and headstock veneer are cocobolo. It has Stew-macs Golden Age humbucker pickups.

Fretboard radius is 16″. Frets are stainless steel. The neck has a 2 way truss rod, and the neck/headstock area is re-enforced with carbon fiber rods.

It’s very thin. The back is about 1″ thick.

Some pics:

Sounds great! I wonder why 12 stringed electrics aren't more common?

Sweet 12 string LP! I love the idea, and also the simplicity of the woods and appointments. Graceful, understated beauty. Nice.

Love the osage orange! It is plentiful down here in Texas. Was it dyed, or is the color natural?
Great looking guitar!

I really like it. I love the wood selection. Doug fir is great. Did the neck bow forward much more than a six string upon stringing it up from the extra tension?
