Get rid of all the stuff after .com - then the link works.

Who knows, maybe his stuff is great but his site could use some work IMO.

He states on his site: "I appreciate all your support. The more support I get, the more new cool things I can design and create. Some may even be revolutionary."

Can't wait!

I don't like that he slams other builders the way he does. It's one thing to talk about declining quality, poorly cut nuts, etc as part of a general conversation, but it's not very classy to do it as part of your marketing plan. Other than that, his site is entertaining and I think pretty obviously tongue in cheek.

But before you dismiss him, here's something to keep in mind. I don't think I've ever read a bad review about any of his guitars. The owners that chime up always seem thrilled with their guitars. I don't think I've ever seen a used one for sale. He seems to be busily building and selling guitars, leaving a wake of happy customers.

They're too expensive and high end for Costa to advertise them. In fact only three people in the entire world can afford them, but they're worth it!

Wrong GW. They actually couldn't have afforded them if I didn't discount them significantly! They also pledged their first born. So I've got that going for me.....which is nice.

It is an absolute joy to be involved in this golden age of lutherie, for the most part it has shown the best of human kind, so many great builders have shared and made this happen for all of us, they and we deserve respect for getting off the couch and sharing our joy in the shop in the form of a stringed instrument.

Well John,
The myth and legend of Costa Guitars (That's me by the way, Tony Costa) began, as a joke, with this thread:
http://luthiersforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10101&t=33336&hilit=Schenk+Guitars

From there it has taken on a life of its own and rapidly spiraled out of control. At this point, even I can not stop the magic that is "Costa Guitars!!" Not that I want to. It was a really funny thread! Some of Filippo's funniest stuff ever and dare I say, some of my funniest stuff ever. Yes. I dare. Some of my funniest stuff ever as well!

Tony
