Been a crazy summer, and I haven't been around here much lately. Seemed that when I had free time, I was out in the shop. Have a few guitars under construction. The closest to completion is a thinline dual humbucker tele that I am building for my nephew. Been poking around at this one since winter. All the color is down, and I am now shooting clear. I may actually have this one done before he heads off to college this fall!

Wow!
Gotta love a dark green guitar.
I saw one of those thinlines down in LA CA, in the 70's,
and I thought "way cool".
Are you going to paint black under the f hole?
Nice!

Alan, not black but close--very deep blue like the sides.

I have never played one of these. My nephew loves the tele shape, but he wanted a fatter sound, I was just going to dual humbucker a tele, but we decided to do the '72 version. It will have all black hardware, so will be very modern looking despite the vintage roots.

My poor tele is still sitting in the corner without a neck as I had to take it apart as a pattern for this one.
