PINK. They say it tames the anger  But mine are white to reflect the most light. You can never have enough light when building guitars. ;)

How about Brazillian Rosewood Veneer on the walls and Crown Molding in Spanish Cedar for the aroma....

Seriously though, I will consider white. I can get a feel for white once I primer the walls and go for there. But what color do I paint the baseboards? idunno

Thanks guys, this has been an entertaining thread. I was bored at burger king and didn't think I would get a response, now I got my first two page thread!

Wood dust? That's tons of colors in my shop.

You're not kidding. I like to let dust pile up on my bandsaw on purpose. White, black, purple, brown, red, all in layers. Looks like sand art when you dig into it.

Pick the most color neutral off-white you can find. Go eggshell rather than flat--it sheds dust more readily.

Actually, studies have shown that pink soothes angry, violent people for about 15 minutes, then they tend to become even angrier and more violent. Optimally, you'd bring them into a pink room for 10 minutes so they will calm down and then put them into a blue room to keep them calm. So, do you really want your shop to be pink with chisels and other sharp objects?! wow7-eyes

Pure White! Reflects more light to work evenly. Latex doesn't yellow over time. You might consider an off color wainscotting or industrial border for fingers and dust. I wonder, why don't people paint their guitars with latex...it would be cheap and easily done with a roller?

I don't think there is a wife, or husband in the whole world that would read the postings, here, of their mate.

I just use the Antique White semi-gloss latex that the big box stores seem to have on sale all the time. Trim is the same color. Ceiling is the flat white, roll-on texture stuff. YMMV

+1 for Pink. Hard to take yourself seriously in a pink shop. Oh, and +1 on the eggshell. I took the opportunity to go over to Filippos and splash some hot pink on his walls. See the creative energy?
