 Post subject: question on pots..

iv looked around at some plans i have and notice that most (except for the tele) they used 500k for volume and 250k for tone. Does it really matter i mean i looked and couldnt really find the answer.. less i missed something.

Matt,
Normally you will find that 500k pots are used with Humbuckers, 250k for single coils for both Tone and volume. They will also use .047pf caps for the HBs and .022pf caps for SCs or close to that. Some variance by will be used on the capacitors. Some will use .033pf caps for either.

alright.. one last question.

can i hookup 1 capacitor to 2 tone pots?

Yes you can. Look up a Stratocaster wiring diagram.
