does anybody know the dimensions of the fender universal pickup route? if you don't know its this thing fender did or does that instead of routing the coils individually there's a single route for the entire package basically a rectangle so that all that's needed to change the pickups is a switch of the pickguard.

If I remember right, they routed way bigger than the pickups, with a route for the wiring.
Why don't you figure out what you need routed out, make a jig, and do it.
There is only so much you can ask here.
Lay it out on paper, make jigs, and do it on you own.
Best way to learn.
Make some mistakes.
I'm still making them.
Screw the universal fender routing deal.
Make your own.
It will work fine.

i agree it will be hard to screw up, as long as its bigger than your pickups and smaller than pickguard its not gonna matter much just draw up what you need.

Hey, go to Guitar Center and ask if you can take a Strat apart and measure it.
ha!
Just kidding.
There must be plans available with those dimensions on them.
Good luck.

Just remember to keep a trem and the feet of a humbucker in mind as you lay out your jig.
Have fun.
