Any of you guys doing varnish finishes have recommendations for a pore/grain filler? Looking to level Mahogany before staining and then varnishing..

I use oil-based paste wood pore filler under varnish. You can add oil stains or colorants to the filler to provide the desired color. A seal coat before filling helps a lot.
