Hi there.

As part of my Masters thesis, I'm hoping to investigate the use of different woods by luthiers and other instrument manufacturers. I've created a short survey to this effect, and would like to invite any luthiers that use this forum to take part. It should take no more than 5 minutes. No proprietary information is requested and all responses will be treated with anonymity.

Your participation will be greatly appreciated.

Tom-
I looked at that survey, and you don't seem to have any 'verification method' to separate accurate responses from rubbish.

I think you should have a talk with your thesis supervisor.

Tom after doing your survey, it looks much more like a marketing survey than it does a wood usage survey. Not saying that is the case, but I have done and been involved in marketing surveys and...... beehive

That's cool. I'm currently working on my master's thesis as well, guitar related as well. But mine's not as fun as playing with wood... mines "The antecedents of user-driven innovation and the fostering of user-entrepreneurship." Lol
Best of luck!

Ouch, that sounds arcane :S

Hehe! For a moment I thought that smiling was holding a clipboard and probing the bee's nest for answers.

You're right, it does have a marketing element. But as with many surveys, the real questions being asked aren't actually presented ;)

Thanks for taking part. It's helping to build a nice picture of what I was looking for!
