I have an original Floyd Rose on one of my favorite guitars. I love the guitar but hate the Floyd and would much rather have a Fender style trem. Has anyone made that swap? To clarify, I'm talking about the 2 point Fender bridge which seems like it could hook right into the FR posts and do its thing in the cavity. I don;t have the specs on the Fender bridge or one to measure, (my strat has a vintage style).

Any help would be grand.

Best as I can tell it won't work. Your stud spacing is not the same, not to mention the Floyd Rose studs are about 1/4 inch closer to the nut than what you would need for a Fender American or Wilkinson type tremolo. Then of course there is the big rout to deal with. Hope that helps,

John

There is hope ,Schaller makes a replacement that does not lock.
Maybe Allparts carries it.
