After a couple of months of work, I finally got my workshop into a reasonable condition.

That got me to thinking I would see if there is any interest in an informal get together the last weekend of September.

Tentatively, I'll grill burgers, pot luck on everything else, bring any items you might want to show off or trade or sell. Just a friendly day of swapping stories, skills, lies and whatever.

Let me know if your interested and give me your vote for Saturday or Sunday, either is OK with me.

I am not related to Jimmie but you can count on me to be there. I will be happy to give a demo for your open house

I'll do my best to make it. I'm a couple hours from Columbia.

I am a couple hours away up by Clemson...

Sounds like fun and I sure want to go. If all goes well, I should have a new guitar finished by then.

Thanks

John

Hey Jim, what area are you in? I live in Gilbert about 30 minutes from Columbia. I'm right off I-20. If I'm in town would love to come out and meet some fellow luthiers.

Saturday would be best for me with church and such. Let me know what you decide.

It sounds very interesting. I'm in Charlotte, and it's only an hour and a half or so to Columbia. I'll have to see what that weekend is going to be like. It's very close to the start of the Renaissance Festival here, which is an annual commitment for me, and sometimes the weekend or so before has to be devoted to something more family oriented. idunno You can tell I'm in charge! :D

I live about 1 mile from the intersection of I20 and I77, so great access and easy to find.
I am leaning towards Saturday unless there is overwhelming support for Sunday.
By the way I have some good friends over there in White Planes.

I would be interested, but that is looking like a bad weekend for me. If things change, I will try to make it.
