Brett I have never installed them but I did play a guitar, primarily, for 5ish years that had them, a Parker Fly Deluxe and I loved the feel of stainless frets on an electric.

Rick Turner was working with ceramic frets which he displayed at th HGF in 2006 - excellent feel too.

I also believe that Mario has been using SS for sometime. You might do a search in the archives.

Better yet, perhaps he'll catch this next time he makes a cruise through the parking lot. <BG>

I have them on my Gibson LP Supreme. They actually have a gold-ish allow to them on this particular model guitar. I like them alot for playability. They show no wear yet, which is good too!

I have installed SS on a few guitars and it is alot harder to deal with as far as cutting and filling( I use the Stew mac diamond files, They are great) but bending and pressing was no problem. They polish up nicely and most of the guitars have shown little wear, but one of my customers just recently brought his Mex strat that I refretted with SS and he is already wearing them down pretty good. It has only been two years since the refret! eek I am glad I used such tough stuff. laughing6-hehe
