I got them from Micro Fasteners. I used the 2-56 brass inserts. part #BTI0256

Upon my reading the fine print of the insert. DOH!!! It says to use the slotted end for thread cutting on hardwood and use a screw and jam nut to screw it in. well, call me Dummy!!! :) Not sure that will help but I will try it!!

Hey D L
I addressed the question you had about the Beard neck to body joint to Mike. I meant to answer you. I'm sorry for the screw up.

You are quite welcome I hope it helps.

BTW Still need to drill the hole larger and taper it before screwing in the insert. TEST IT BEFORE USING ON THE REAL THING!!! :)

Mike Kroening,

I am so glad to hear you say that this is your first Resonator and first acoustic. I am building my first acoustic now and want to start building my first resonator. I am going to give it a go now that I see I am not the only one to think that way.

I tried to get on your site but kept tell me it was no longer available. I missed my chance I guess.

Ken
