Hey you guys
I havent been around in a while - well not too regularily anyhow,, and it is not because Ive lost interest,,,believe me
Its just that the winter was a bit rough around here... and I was having a bit of a rough time personally also - but thats in the past now and Im refocused...
And spring is looking up -
w-a-a-a-a-y up
First of all I wanted to give a most excellent reccomendation to a sponsor here
I had put in an order with Shane... 25' and 15' dishes and a couple small items he carries....
Sounds like we both had a bit of a hang, with this and that, this winter -
(Shane said he was reinventing his process for making these dishes, & as I said I had my own issues) so while I didnt get my dishes right away... I wasnt in a super big rush for them anyway,,,
It was (well) worth the wait because the level of workmanship on these things is absolutely phenominal... top notch!
Shane has super high standards for his outgoing products, its glaringly obvious!!!
Big Thanks to Shane from High Mountain Tonewood!!!!!!!

Secondly
One of my major issues has been struggling with my exceedingly small shop!
I have thought about it six ways from Sunday and its a bit of a pita,,,, no matter how I look at it!
Anyhow the Missus and I have been leisurely looking for home and property around here, and we gave ourselves about a year to find something suitable.... if not more..
Well when something is right, things just click,,, within a month we found a place that we absolutely Loved!!!
One that was 25% higher than our price range,, and had twice as much property than we thought we could afford,,, So ... no way right?
Unbelieveably the Universe and the Almighty must have had us in mind for this spot because everything that could have gone our way did, and long story short we have a beauty new home...
bliss bliss bliss bliss
sitting on a sunny beautiful 2 acr private parcel right around the corner from a beautiful lake.. in a rural setting surrounded by craftspeople and organic farms and cottage industries...
The home is in really nice shape (needs some work, but nothing we cant handle) and there is a nice garage space for a good sized WORKSHOP!!!! 2wice the size of my current WS...
at least!!! greenhouses, 16 raised beds, wrap around porch, outbuildings, fruit trees, pond...
WOW
All I can say is Hooray - no more excuses now!!!
I cant wait to get things rolling - we got along with the owners so well that they gave us the keys and security codes a month before we were supposed to take possession and said have at er - so now I can move things in a get setup somewhat before we do a wholesale move...

Life is a funny thing - it really is darkest before the dawn sometimes!
And when you need something - sometimes all you need to do is be sincere about it, and ask out loud.... Thanks Big Guy
Cheers
Charlie

Fantastic, Charlie. That land sounds like heaven.

From a poem by Rainer Maria Rilke:

Let it all happen to you: beauty and dread.
Simply go no feeling is too much
And only this way can we stay in touch

Charlie, that is all great news. 2 Acres, hope you have a ride on with a beer holder my friend laughing6-hehe

I'm jealous though. The property sounds very cool.

I'm glad the darkness is lifting my friend. Looking forward to seeing some guitar progress.

Good for you, Charlie!!! Sounds like an excellent place to call home.

I started gardening with raised beds way back in the 70's... if you haven't used them before... I'll just say, you're gonna love em! And, greenhouses too!!!! Very cool! I hope you'll have time to build guitar as well.

Good for you, Charlie! [:Y:]

Strange thing about large houses; when we moved up here 8 years ago we came from a small, 2 room apartment; everything we owned had fit neatly into those two rooms. I think it took us less than one year to fill every room in this house, the grarage, the shed, and the other shed, and ... with "stuff"! Where does it all come from??!!! Of course my workshop in this house is the same size as our previous apartment...
