In the latest issue of Fine Woodworking there is an ad for Titbond 3 glue. One of the positive aspects of the glue they say is that it can be used on oily exotics. Anybody have any experience with this glue on oily exotics and guitars?

Somewhere, and it may have been here, I read that it should not be used on instruments, because of "creep". It also, apparently is an exterior grade glue, and never gets very hard. I could be wrong, but it is what I remember. I'm sure I'll be corrected quickly if I am wrong.

I believe TB 3 has increased environmental resistance as compared to TB1 and 2....basicaly you are supposed to be able to put 2 glued parts in boiling water without them delaminating (or something to that extent). It doesn't seem like creep would be too much of a factor on a fingerboard..? The enhanced environmental resistance may make removal a bit harder (for those of you who aim to build easily repairable instruments).

Waddy is right, it doesn't get very hard. It stays flexible.
