All that needs to be said by anyone is, "Please PM me the name of the finisher and tell me of your experience so that I can avoid future problems." Then the forum has served its purpose and nobody gets publicly stoned.

How much more simple could it be? Let's not create another mountain out of a molehill!

What the Puppy With Attitude(JJ) said.

None of this concerns me, as I do everything here, but I was simply concerned when the forum owner hushes a thread before it gets off the ground. I just don't want to see another precedent set...

Carry-on!

I usually finish in-house. I have a 100sf spraybooth in my shop. However, sometimes I get backed up and sub the finishing out to keep things moving. That's why I sub it out.

I agree, but always remember what is a molehill to one can be a mountain in the life and business of another. Who cares about lawsuits and retribution? Brock and Lance would never be held responsible for the words posted by an individual member and the law has begun to catch up to technology while holding people accountable for unfounded comments that can affect business and the generation of commerce.

I also agree with Brock as he agrees with Mario when he says, "I agree with Mario, part of the value of the community helps us avoid stepping in holes like this, but we need to tread very carefully here."....especially the part that says, "but we need to tread carefully here." Brock and Lance never hush a thread until a lack of integrity or consideration is seems to be taking shape in it so it's not the thread at all, but the attitudes that get hushed. Believe it or not, those things are part of what this forum is all about, too.

That's the part that some folks fail to do....or to even consider important. We need to not only ensure that we don't step in a hole, but equally importantly, be sure that we don't throw someone else into one.

Now that we have the "Carry-on" from the chief, I guess we can move along.

Grumpy - that is condensed! Reader's Digest always leaves a lot to imagination and interpretation for the sake of space and to accommodate the laziness of the reader.

On the other hand, if I used the full screen width of a text line, my posts are no longer than those of many other posters. Important issues deserve a little attention.

No, the "carry-on" signals that y'all are free to carry-on without me in the thread. It's not meant as nasty or happy.  It is literal.

I could have condensed the above further <g>

I agree that important issues deserve attention, but I'll be honest, I don't read most of your posts; when I get to a post(not just yours) that is that long(made worse by however it is you manage to change the text line length), I just automatically skip it. Then, further down, if everyone seems to be referring to the post I skipped, I'll go back. Otherwise, I just assume it's an endless rant, or repitition of the same thing, just presented however many ways possible. And it's not just here, it's how I read everything everywhere. I just skip the 18 chapters that explains modern time-keeping, and go right to the instructions on how to set the clock <bg>

 Carry-on!

Hey folks. Don sent me a PM asking me to close this thread. I think it has spun in a direction he didn't intend and he was not trying to create contraversy.

I told him I would close it if he liked.
