This is my second guitar which I strung up about a month ago.

I'm very pleased . Definate improvement over number 1 especialy in terms of sound and playability.

Bearclaw sitka and black limba.

Finish is French polish apart from the neck which is oiled.

Built from the OLF SJ pans . Special thanks to Michael for his advice on how to modify the upper graft to fit in a Cumpiano style neck block.

Most of the woods are from RCTonewoods (Making the best of the weak dollar

Necks definately a better shape than my first (which gets too thick towards the body) . And the centre stripes show up the fact the headstock is slightly misaligned nicely

Very pleased with the sound. Someone said that Black Limba is somewhere in between Rosewood and Mahogany and that makes a lot of sense to me. I would recomend the SJ plans too , sounds great fingerstyle or strumming with a pick.

Very nice...that bridge looks like a "Hesh stealth" model, just a tad larger.

What is the difference between this model and a dread in terms of sound? It looks great!

The SJ is closer to a Grand Concert. I designed my SJ (which is the same as the OLF SJ plans) to be a step between a OM and a Dreadnought. It has a pretty large lower bout that is more rounded chamber than a dread but the overall length is 1/2 way between OM and dread and the depth is closer to a dread.

Dependent on woods of course this guitar is in my opinion the perfect Travis piking guitar. The growls of the bass are sustained but not as dominate as the typical dread. The highs are brighter than on the typical OM and it has a good bit more projection than an OM. Of course all this is subject to how the guitar is voiced by the builder.

The body shape was a interpretation of one Lance's body shapes with a little Gibson J series-esk thrown in for good measure. Designed to be a large sound but comfortable size, enough so that you can lean back in your recliner and play if desired.

This body has turn out to be my most popular selling guitars.

I'm pretty bad at describing sounds and Michaels already explained it pretty clearly. I'd have said it was kinda like a jumbo but with more mids.

Unfortunately I haven't got recording gear but I've done a couple of short clips for you using a cheapo vocal mike connected to my pc. They don't do the guitar any justice at all. But at least they show it sounds like a guitar
