what glue is best for graphite bars being glued to wood be? epoxy?

thanks in advance!

First sand the stuff lightly to break through any resin glaze, then glue with either epoxy or CA.   

I used polyurethane glue (gorrila glue for example) and it worked well but won't be as strong as CA or Epoxy but does ensure that any voids are filled, not that you should have any that need filling.

I think epoxy is a better choice than CA. Epoxy will fill voids.

After scuffing it, I wipe it well with alcohol, then glue with polyurethane glue immediately. I've tried and tried, and tried, yet can't fault the stuff. Strong as strong gets, resists even being tossed in a fire, or a washtup of hot water. Can't be beat..... Epoxy works also, of course but it can creep under the right(wrong) circumstance, or if you ge the nmix ratio even a bit 'off'.. I have yet to find a way to make polyurethane glue creep(and I keep trying), and there's no mixing, therefor, foolproof.

The composite reinforcement stock available from L.M.I. and others are graphite /epoxy laminates .

Seems to me that those rods have the opportunity to creep between their own laminates.

I haven't tryed polyester Mario , but thanks for the info. HHG doesn't creep , how would that go ?

All Cf is carbon fiber and epoxy. The better quality the stock, the less epoxy is left behind. There should be minimal epoxy left, and the carbon's katrillions of tiny fingers hold onto each other such that creep shouldn't be an issue.

I did try hide glue, ad it also worked, but it's brittle and succumbs to shock.

Some CFs are carbon fiber and vinyl ester...

Which ones?

any epoxy in particular you guys like to use? i would like to use it also for gluing fretboard to neck. since were somewhat on the topic of graphite and cf do any of you use it for any parts of the guitar other than reinforcement?  i know ive seen a guitar with cf on the top. i think it was cumpiano. how bout a cf/graphite fretboard ? or bridge? just some thoughts of mine.

I have gotten a better bond with CA than with epoxy. Could be a lot of reasons for that--it was not controlled experimentation.
