Kent,

It may sound perverse but I actually want the tops of my guitars to "bellie" behind the bridge as I think it's a major part of producing the sound I want. Don't most of the pre-war (WW II)so called "cannons" have this feature? The neck block braces plus an adjustable neck system will take care of the playability issues.

Lots of people have tied the neck block to the end block...Tilton' Patented Improvement, Fender, the Larsons, Paul McGill, et al. I don't see the end block as being a major issue, though I do now run CF around inside the reverse kerfing, and on the most recent acoustic I made, I also made the binding out of CF.   That's one incredibly stiff rim on that guitar.   I like it...
