Has anyone heard from Grant since the swap meet? He was going out of town for the 10/28 weekend and hasn't been online since. I'm not in any real hurry for the items I purchased, just curious.

Thanks,

He did mention that he has a lot to do this time of year before the ground freezes. Hope he's ok and just real busy.

Nope, I have not heard from him either. I sent a PM last week, no answer so far...

I've sent Grant two pm messages recently- one the morning the swap meet started, and a follow-up a couple of weeks later.
No response so far.

Thanks, for bringing this up, Greg.

Same here.

I'm sure that Grant is busy at present and will attend to this as soon as he is able.

I haven't heard anything either, and I sent him a review of my purchases and prices about a week or so ago.  I'm not in a hurry either, but hope there is nothing wrong.

I am in the same boat as the rest of you.  No big hurry but I would like to know that everything is okay.

I am certainly not Grant's official spokesman; I am just a friend.

Grant wears many hats (and wears them well) - one of them is as an archaeologist. This time of year is usually nuts for Grant, as the commercial developers scramble to get clearance to excavate property before the ground freezes in north-central Minnesota. (There are strict laws in Minnesota about not messing with grave sites - modern or ancient. Plus, depending on what archeological material is found, the property may be protected from development.)

This year, Grant was hit with even more than usual, and he has been buried alive (pun intended.)

I can't tell anyone what to think or what to feel, but I can recommend that if you can wait for Grant to get the material out to you, it will be worth the wait. I'm sure the delay is unintentional, and I'll bet Grant has not taken any money yet either.

Dennis

I was going to put up tha same post. I PM'ed him a week ago. I dont
need the material anytime soon, so this just gives my credit card some
time to cool down from the swap meet.

I see I'm in good company here!

It's no problem for me either, as I don't need any of the stuff I 'bought' from Grant right away.

Since it only takes a very few minutes to type up a couple of sentences and paste them into some pm messages, Grant must be a busy fellow indeed.

 Hi Dennis,

Thanks for posting. It sounds like Grant has a really cool job. You're correct, Grant said that he was very busy this time of year and no purchase totals were sent, no money collected. I posted out of curiosity since he hadn't been online at all.

Frozen ground is a foreign concept here in Texas even before Fall was cancelled

Maybe I'm wrong (again) but I thought Grant mentioned in the preamble to his listings that you could expect a delay. I'm just going to wait until he contacts me as I am sure he has everyone listed for contact when he gets the time.

Cheers

Kim

I've bought from Grant before and it took a while before shipping the wood out, but it was really worth it. He will get back to us about the Swap Meet stuff - it may be a while more though, he is busy.
