Let me see what it would take to get Rick Hearne to cut one of his logs down to billet size - we could then discuss that or maybe af_one becomes the supplier. I have no way to reduce a log to smaller size myself, so I'd have to live with whatever the supplier wanted to charge at this end (and he didn't sound excited about doing it). Maybe I could whet his appetite even more if we promised to build a persimmon guitar too - he really wants to see what that would be like.
