Any builds with 'Dalbergia Barensis', purchased, I assume from Dynamic Hardwoods, Victoria, BC.
The wood is incredible, harder, denser than BRW. and Beautiful.
Any pics or build stories?

I bookmarked Dynamic's site the other day. I haven't built with it but it's beautiful wood(a little pricey) Dynamic's viewer is here

LMI had some a number of years ago I believe, labeled "Southeast Asian Rosewood". It was great stuff. I built a nice SJ for my dad with some, and saved one set for the future. I think Grumpy used a bunch of it at one time too.

It looks a little simalar to some "colubian rosewood" i have at the the momet
which is an undsescribed dalbergia.
My stuff has a tap tone that rivals the very best honduran and rings like a
marimba bar.

I am sure that the cambodian willl make some very nice guitars as most of
the dalbergia's do.

I hope to use this wood someday. I ordered some from Launie almost 8 months ago. Maybe someday he'll decide to send it since it was paid in full 6 months ago. I hear it is nice stuff.

I'll take a pic tomorrow of the guitar I made for myself and showed at H'burg.   Cambodian is great stuff, certainly right up there with Brazilian, Honduras, and Madagascar in that glassy quality that we love so much. I love this stuff, and it seems very well behaved even when not perfectly quartered.   There's a fair amount of spider webbing in the sides on mine, and I caught a great spear head visual with sapwood in the back.   

This one was finished in 3 1/2 days with West epoxy, McFadden Rosewood Sealer, and then three coats of McFadden polyester.   I started the finish on a Monday and showed the guitar on Friday. I did the last coats on Wednesday and rubbed it out on Thursday, and there hasn't been a hint of pore shrinkage on the rosewood while there is a nice subtle raised grain look from the vertical lines of the spruce.   That's a look I like.

The flamewood is very different in appearance. I don't know if it is equal as a tonewood, but the interplay of color in the wood is astounding - the prettiest wood I have seen.

D. Cochin. is the wood, I believe LMI wa selling a few years back. Beautiful tonewood also.

Dalbergia Barensis has the beautiful deep rosewood color and pattern. I believe it is the densist rosewood around--Ring-WOW
